Mi Salsa Es Candela
Part of keeping the culture alive is amplifying the voices of local artists. We got the opportunity to partner with Colombian born- New York raised artist and self taught illustrator, CLEOFUS. He attended the Conservatory of Art in SUNY Purchase as a fine Arts major. Since the late 90’s, his work has explored a critical view of social and cultural issues growing up, using traditional art and digital media. Recently his work has been depicted on fashion and print under the monikers of Polito Vega and No Way Jose that have gained popularity via social networks. His clients include MLB, Only NY clothing, Time Out NY, Turkey and the Wolf restaurant, Fools Gold records, Turntablelab, New York Times, Interbreed Japan, Adidas NYC, Adidas Skateboarding and Little Giants clothing just to name a few.
